That is going to be really beautiful when it is finished. Question...are the buttons up the back the only closure? Or does it have an invisible zipper somewhere?

Funny, I've had this pattern on my wanna do pile for a while, and never noticed the facing finish. Yours is going to be really nice.

Thankyou ladies for your comments :o) Michelle, the only closure are the buttons, so I'm going to have to have my fella button me into it of a morning when I want to wear it! connie B, I had never encountered this kind of facing finish before. It worked very well on the muslin version- well there are a few messups- but I am going to have to be soooooo careful with the silk version, if I don't get it perfect I will just cry.

Thank-you for leaving me an award...I'm always pleasantly surprised and flattered when somebody else likes what I do. Thanks for showing us your muslin...it shows more detail than the pattern photo. can't wait to see the finished version, K.

You had me at Anna Sui. I heart everything Anna Sui. Gorgeous fabric! This will be a wonderful piece. I think you could wear it all year long.

Your muslin is beautiful! I too have this pattern in my stash, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Really appreciate your comments and suggestions about the construction. My concern is that the top looks short... did you find that? Can't wait to see the finished top.

Anything with a pussybow is perfect in my eyes :)

It's going to be beauuuuutiful! I'm never patient enough to make a muslin before the real thing, I just go blindly into the finished garment and pray! Then inevitably get pissed off when it requires unpicking. Anyhow, can't wait to see your final creation. As for Built by Wendy patterns, I own 3/4 and I'm a massive fan despite having had some problems. I find the are made for women with no boobs and very thin arms, and strange things happened when I made the trousers. Aside from that, the proportions of the final garments are beautiful, and make great bases for your own future creations.

YES you're right Trisha, it IS short and that's what I'm going to be fiddling with- going to try to work out where the hem should best sit.

Trish yes it is hard to go wrong with a pussy-bow, I love that they've 'come back' lately... though for some of us they never went away ;o)

Zoe, that's good to know about the Built By Wendys- sounds like I'd need to do a fair bit of tweaking, cos I'm busty and I'm a little bicep-y! I do love her shapes though so might be worth the effort to adjust.
